I’m going to share with ways to use your time as your time. There are so many different things you can do when you’re spending time by yourself. This way you can be more comfortable and pleased in your own space; and not feel lonely.
To do the things we don’t want to do; we have to self discipline.
Workout: At Home or The Gym
Most of the time when people people do workouts they tend to overwork themselves. Here’s a few ways to help make workouts less of a chore:
- Do 30 minute workouts or less; the key is consistency. The more consistent you are; your body will allow you to workout longer.
- Consistency doesn’t mean everyday; set a routine that doesn’t strain your schedule.
- Start with simple/ beginner workouts.
- Listen to music/ watch a show whilst working out.
- Make yourself a nice cool smoothie after your workout. Reward yourself.
Cook a New Recipe
Find a new recipe, whether that’s a simple dessert or a main dish. Go online find the recipe/buy a recipe book.
Spend time shopping for the exact ingredients, set up the instructions; and get cooking. If you’re of age drink add some wine in the mix; not for cooking.
Remember not to overwork yourself, you’re building a hobby. Start off with a simple recipe you’re familiar with but never made.
Once you’re done; You will then feel confident trying it again or trying a new recipe.
Self Care without Doubt: Feeling no guilt when Relaxing and doing absolutely nothing
Take a self care day
Use a day to focus on relieving stress and focusing on your needs. It can be simple things inside/outside the house such as:
- Getting a manicure/pedicure
- Shopping Spree
- Taking a bath with all your favorite products
- Doing your own nails
- Reading a book
- Spending the whole day relaxing with no remorse
- Taking a long walk with your favorite playlist/podcast
- Listening/watching to your favorite podcast
Everyone has their different ways they enjoy; do whatever works for you and feel good doing it.

Binge Watch Your Favorite Show/Movie
Watch your comfort show or movie. We should all have at least one comfort show/movie we don’t mind rewatching a million times; because it brings an underrated feeling of joy. It brings us a sense of cheer up and serenity. Whether it’s a humorous show, reality tv or a seven movie series.
Organize/ Spring Cleaning
Self discipline is important when it comes to turning chores into something you enjoy. However the feeling you get once you’re done is undefeated.
When you develop healthy habits they start to feel less like a a chore, the key is to not stop and be consistent.
The more time we spend by ourselves we should learn to entertain, treat, and take care of ourselves. Alone but not lonely.
