Sleep Reset Challenge: Realistic Ways to Improve Rest

Struggling to sleep is very common, because at night there is a lot more distractions. Unlike the mornings, when we’re forced to get up on time. Bedtime requires discipline. At night we have to convince and challenge ourselves to go to bed at a reasonable time. We have to convince ourselves to shut down. Scrolling, stress, or simply being “too wired” can tempt us to stay up.

We have to challenge ourselves to do better when it comes to our sleeping routine. The Sleep Reset challenge is gentle, flexible and realistic not another strict routine.

Sleep Reset Challenge: Realistic Ways to Improve Rest

Week 1: Reset Your Evenings

Set a Bedtime:
Choose a time that gives you a full night’s rest

Digital Sunset:
Put Your phone or any screen away thirty minutes before bed.

Wind-Down Ritual:
Tease your body to prepare for bed. Drinking a caffeine-free tea that calms your body, journaling, stretching, or your nightly skincare routine. (Tip: I always emphasize NOT doing these things right before bed. Aim for at least an hour before bed when you’re not dragging.)

Dim the Lights:
It cues your body to wind down.

Week 2: Reset Your Sleep Space

Declutter Your Bed Space:
Reserve Your bed for rest. Let your bed be a place for rest. A place your body associates with sleep. Don’t allow your bed to be a breeding ground for distractions.

Scent & Sound:
Find a mist, a diffuser, or choose an essential oil like lavender to calm your body. If background noise at night doesn’t bother you, try white noise or a soothing playlist.

Blackout curtains:
If possible, a dark room improves sleep quality.

Week 3 : Reset Your Mindset

Journal Dump:
Write out all your worries before bed to help clear your mind.

Gratitude Note:
Write one thing your thankful for at night.

Gentle Consistency:
Aim for the same bedtime and wake time daily.

Week 4: Reset Your Daytime Habits

Caffeine Cutoff:
After 2pm stop drinking caffeine, your body will thank you later.

Morning Light Exposure:
Open your curtains first thing in the morning to reset your body’s clock.
