Artwork Turned into Art

I finally found good use of the art that collects dust in my home. Most of my canvases bury old paintings. When I feel like it’s time for a refresh, I simply paint over what was there before. Thanks to today’s society, I can capture my art. ( even though it will never capture it’s true beauty).

When it feels like it’s time for something new, I paint over my old paintings without hesitation. I appreciate the moment in which it was created, but I don’t carry them into the next piece. My paintings capture my life as it moves ahead. I’ve realized that I never fully allow myself to become too comfortable.

We Never Stop Growing

I’m always open to a refresh, to renewal and growth. It is something I want to carry with me into the new year and the rest of my life. My goal is to be INTENTIONAL.

Intentionality makes me nervous, but I’ve grown to love that feeling. Anything in my life that brings me nerves is usually bound to change my life.

You might be wondering how this turned from paintings into growth, but that’s who I am. That’s my life. There’s always a lesson hidden in everything.
